[ 2011-11-28 ] Hindi Health Centre Inauguration and Free Health Camp

The Hindi Heath Centre (HHC) located in Phulpingkatti VDC, belonging to the Durga Jansewa Samudayik Kendra (DJSK) was inaugurated on November 28, 2011. The health facility has been promoted through a tripartite agreement between DJSK, Bhote Koshi Power Company (BKPC) and Dhulikhel Hospital (DH). HHC is being managed and operated by DH as part of its Outreach Program. In keeping with its commitment to support the health sector in the project vicinity, BKPC provided the entire medical infrastructure worth NRs. 1 million for the Centre. BKPC is also providing financial assistance to support 85% of the estimated annual expenses of NRs. 1.2 million of the HHC with the remaining 15% to be supported by DJSK.

[ 2011-03-21 ] Sindhu Bhote Koshi Cup Football Tournament

In keeping with its commitment to support the youth empowerment program in the project vicinity, BKPC has been sponsoring the Sindhu Bhote Koshi Football tournament for several years. The fourth Sindhu Bhote Koshi football tournament was held between March 11 to March 20, 2011 in Lamosanghu, Sindhupalchowk. At the final held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 the APF team defeated NRT 2-1 to win the title of the tournament.

[ 2010-11-17 ] Phulpingkatti VDC Building Inauguration

The Phulpingkatti Village Development Committee (PVDC) building, constructed with financial assistance from Bhote Koshi Power Company (BKPC) at Phulpingkatti was inaugurated on November 17, 2010. The building had to be shifted from its original location during the construction of the UBKHEP and relocated to a different place within the same VDC. There was a delay in commencement of construction as the local communities could not agree on the site of construction, and hence the building was completed only in 2010.

[ 2010-05-22 ] Jhirpu School Golden Jubilee Celebration and Memorabilia Book Release

Having completed 50 years, Jhirpu School located in Phulpingkatti VDC of Sindhupalchowk District, celebrated its Golden Jubilee on Jestha 8, 2067 (May 22, 2010). The School, established in B.S. 2017 had to be shifted from its original location during the construction of the UBKHEP and relocated to a different place within the same VDC. With BKPC’s continuous financial assistance to the School for infrastructure development and teacher support, the School has been able achieve the feat of operating the first 10+2 high school in Phulpingkatti VDC. The School will soon be commencing the first Bachelor's level studies at its Bhote Koshi Valley Campus in the District.
